Disconnecting the batteries - Electric Golf Cars

  1. Disable the golf car.
    • A. Set the park brake.
    • B. Turn the key switch OFF and remove the key.
    • C. Place the Forward/Reverse control in the NEUTRAL position.
    • D. In addition, chock the wheels if servicing or repairing the vehicle.
  2. Place Tow/Run switch in the TOW position before disconnecting or connecting the batteries. Failure to heed this warning could result in a battery explosion or severe personal / electrical injury.
  3. Disconnect the batteries, negative (–) cable first. After disconnecting the batteries, wait 90 seconds for the controller capacitors to discharge or flip the Forward/Reverse switch to Reverse and the backup buzzer will discharge the capacitor.

Connecting the batteries - Electric Golf Cars

  1. Ensure the Tow/Run switch is in the TOW position.
  2. Connect the battery cables, positive (+) cable first.
  3. Tighten battery terminal to proper torque.
  4. Coat terminals with Battery Terminal Protector Spray to minimize corrosion.
  5. Place the Tow/Run switch in the RUN position.
